TOUR ITINERARY
Day One - Arrive
Yangon
Greetings day and welcome to Myanmar! Today
you will arrive in Yangon, the capital and
the main gateway to Myanmar, and transfer to
your hotel for overnight. (Dinner/Hotel)
Day Two - Fly to
Mandalay
This
morning we depart for the airport and our
flight to Mandalay, which was once the Royal
Capital City of Myanmar Monarchs. Upon
arrival in this sprawling city, on our way
to Mandalay, we'll visit Amarapura, the
former Royal City before Mandalay, to
witness the daily life of the Buddhist monks
at MAHA GANDARYON MONASTERY. Then
have a stroll on famous U BEIN Wooden
Bridge dating back over 200 years
spanning the Taung Tha Man Lake.
Onwards to our hotel for the next two
nights. By late afternoon we’ll take in the
sights and sounds of Mandalay, visiting
first to MAHA MUNI BUDDHA IMAGE which
is the most revered and sacred site of
Mandalay, some handicraft cottages such as
stone carving, tapestry, and gold-paper
making. Then we'll tour onward to SHWE
NANDAW MONASTERY where you can marvel
the superb example of Myanmar traditional
woodcarving and KUTHODAW PAGODA known
as World's Biggest Book for its 729 marble
slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures. To
top off the day, we'll drive up to
MANDALAY HILL, 230 meters in elevation,
for a panoramic view of the city and its
surrounding areas at sunset.

Day Three - Boat ride
to Mingun and Sagaing Hills Sunset
This
morning after we enjoy a breakfast, we’ll
set out for a scenic journey on the great
Ayeyarwaddy River to Mingun on board a small
private boat. Tour the Mingun and see huge
unfinished Pagoda and world largest ringing
bell. Return to Mandalay for lunch break.
This late afternoon, we'll drive to Sagaing
Hills, which is considered to be Buddhist
retreat, dotted with numerous pagodas and
monasteries. Here we also have the chance en
route to see the silversmiths producing.
This evening, we'll enjoy another sunset
from Sagaing Hills. (Hotel/Breakfast)
Day Four - Fly back to
Yangon
This
morning we depart for the airport and our
flight back to Yangon. Upon arrival in this
capital city, we transfer to our hotel for a
short rest. We're off for a day of great
sightseeing in Yangon, including the
historic DOWNTOWN district and Yangon
HARBOR. We'll enjoy the activities of
Yangon harbor and colorful streetscapes and
elegantly restored COLONIAL-STYLE
buildings. Extended visit to the gilded
SULE Pagoda dating back over 2,000
years. We'll continue to KYAUKHTATGYI,
a huge reclining Buddha Image and also have
the opportunity to experience a hand-made
glass demonstration at private owned NAGA
GLASS FACTORY. This evening we'll make a
special visit to Great SHWEDAGON PAGODA,
one of the most spectacular religious on
earth. Witness the Golden Dome, covered with
60 tons of pure gold, glistening as the sun
sets. Tonight we’ll enjoy the variety of
cultural show as we dine at Lakeview Theatre
Restaurant adjacent to Kandawgyi Palace
Hotel. (Hotel/Breakfast/Dinner)
Day Five - Depart
Yangon
The
morning is yours to relax or explore more of
Yangon. Here you have a chance to do some
last minute shopping at more than
70-year-old BOGYOKE (Scott) market.
Later this evening, you'll be transferred to
Yangon international airport to connect with
your return flight home and reminisce about
the wonderful time you have had in the
‘Golden Land of Myanmar'. (Breakfast)
From Mandalay you can also proceed to Bagan
by the down-river cruise with the government
owned double Decker 'Shwe Keinnary'
or private owned superior RV Pandaw's
BETWEEN ROYAL MANDALAY AND ANCIENT BAGAN.
